We woke up to a lovely sunny day , the mist rising over the mountains on Vancouver Island . Magic! Eagles flew over us as we enjoyed our morning coffees sitting on the deck over the clear sparkling water below us . We went for a hike up to the ecological park known as Gator Park by the locals. What a unique place with the long boardwalk , spur trees with eagles nesting in them, ravens talking back and forth and trails winding through amazing forests . Cormorant Island is so small its unnecessary to have a vehicle as you can walk anywhere and there are so many interesting places to explore. The marina, government dock for fishing , beaches, Umista Museum and the Longhouse traditional dances . There is choices for dining out and the Inn has a kitchen and BBQues . What a wonderful retreat watching the ever changing skies, amazing sunsets and quiet so quiet.
