To discover Alert Bay and Cormorant Island’s rich blend of outdoor beauty, ancient First Nation culture and pioneer heritage: take a scenic BC Ferries ride to Alert Bay from Port McNeill, fly in on the 900 metre paved airstrip, moor at the well protected Small Craft Boat Harbour or anchor out in the Bay.
Traveling by car? Once you’ve arrived at Port McNeill harbour, BC Ferries will deliver you to within a 3 minute walk of the inn. Reservations are not available & the fare is for a return trip. |
Everything is within walking distance here, and there's an option of pay parking at the ferry terminal in Port McNeill. But yes… you can bring your car. There’s (just enough) parking in our little lot across the street. |

If you're taking more than one ferry, on the smaller routes, it would be to your benefit
to purchase a BC Ferries Experience Card. You can use it on the big runs
(to and from the mainland) but with no savings. On the smaller runs, such as ours, it will save you almost 50%.
