The Fine Print:
One night is not enough... Seriously... You're going to get here.. You're not going to want to leave.
We are a tiny and remote community on an exotic Pacific island, welcoming and friendly, gifted with a rich and vital First Nations culture, located in the homeland of Humpback and Orca, Grizzly and Black Bear, Sea Lion and Salmon.
The scenery is spectacular, the air is fresh and clean, the water pure and good. You have to make a real effort to get here, so take the time.. to relax, to explore and to delight in this ‘Super Natural’ setting.
Making a Reservation:
We accept Visa or MasterCard details (#, exp date, CVV) to guarantee the reservation. Charges are not applied until arrival. Larger/multiple bookings may require a 20% deposit 30days before arrival.
Taxes:
The rates shown do not include current GST, DMF and Hotel taxes which total 16%.
Cancellations:
If you have to cancel, please give us 7 days advance notice.. or there may be a one night room charge.
Special conditions may apply to stays longer than 3 nights or to reservations of two rooms or more.
No Shows:
We are a remote location with little walk-in traffic. Generally, our visitors have to make long range plans to get here. We ask for your understanding of our policy that No Shows will be charged for the entire reservation. If we are able to sell the room at such short notice, we will happily refund the fee.
Minimum Stay:
Other than the winter months ( Nov-Mar), we generally require a minimum two nights stay, ( 7 nights if it's the Hawthorn Cottage)... however, single nights are often available closer to the date of stay. ( Just ask )
Re: requesting a single night stay during the summer season.. there'll be a 25$ fee
Extra Persons:
Rates are based on double occupancy. For additional persons, please add $20/each per night.
Check In: I'm at the Inn when the ferry arrives at 3 & 6-ish pm. Please call if you'll be arriving earlier ( we'll try to have your room ready ) or later ( I'll talk you through finding your own way to your room.. it's easy! )
Check Out: Please prepare for a 10 am check-out... (sometimes we have housekeeping issues) ..but we'll do our best to accommodate special situations. ( Feel free to ask )
Room Change:
It's sometimes necessary for us to change room assignments... but it will always be to a sister room or to an upgrade.
C-19 Safety Features:
With regard to personal safety, we're very fortunate here at the Seine Boat Inn, in that, the inherent structure of the building easily allows for safe distancing.
On each level, the east and west facing wraparound decks are 8-10 ft wide and there are no interior / communal corridors. All but two of our rooms have two entrances each: one on the east and one on the west facing decks. The exceptions are our Waterfront Queen rooms 105 & 106, which have semi private decks and a single broad entry.
The office has a plexiglass barrier and strategically placed hand disinfectants. We have, for the time being, discontinued our daily maid service. We aim for a minimum 3hr time span between departing and arriving guests.
The atmosphere of both the Inn and of the village itself.. is welcoming, peaceful and truly restorative.
